About Monsieur Moon
Our Founding
Born from our vision of the sky and our family’s passion for true craftsmanship, each piece we create is inspired by the mysteries of the cosmos — the quiet glow of the moon, the kinship of distant stars, and the vastness of the universe.
Founded in 2023 by siblings Aaron and Tova Solomons, Monsieur Moon is an NYC-based, family-run brand, built on our conviction that jewelry should be crafted to last – durable enough not only to accompany you through your life, but also to contain a story that can span generations.
Our Jewelry Philosophy
Our philosophy started with our great-grandparents, who inspired our attention to craftsmanship and our appreciation for molding a legacy.
On one hand, they worked in the footwear industry, delivering well-made products that could accompany their wearers faithfully and elegantly. On the other, they chose to give art to our family with what they called a “warm hand” – wanting to share heirlooms as pieces of their lives, not just as valuable objects to be passed on when they could no longer be with us. Aaron, our designer, integrated those notions of endurance and continuity into his jewelry craft, incorporating his own fascination with outer space.
In the night sky, Aaron sees freedom and wonder to color our lives here on Earth, finding there a sense of adventure and openness that he uses in his design process. In working with precious metals and stones, Aaron has set out to lend permanence to that dreamlike spirit of the night sky, capturing the sublimity in the misunderstood, the asymmetrical, and the whimsical.
